Welcome

KirkRegister helps church administrators, treasurers, session clerks and safeguarding officers manage people, giving, events and more in one place. This guide uses demo examples only — no real church data.

What you need before you start

  1. An email address from your church administrator inviting you to KirkRegister, or access to sign up for a free trial.
  2. A modern web browser such as Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox (kept up to date).
  3. A reliable internet connection.

Signing in for the first time

  1. Go to the KirkRegister website and click Login.
  2. Enter the email address your church administrator registered for you.
  3. Enter your password and click Sign in.
  4. If prompted, verify your email address using the link sent to your inbox.
  5. You will arrive at your church dashboard — for example, the dashboard for St Andrew's Demo Church.

Finding your way around

The menu on the left shows the main areas of KirkRegister. What you see depends on your role. A treasurer might see Finance and Buildings; a safeguarding officer might see People and Safeguarding.

The dashboard gives a quick overview of important items, such as upcoming events or tasks that need attention.

Tip: If you cannot see a menu item you expect, ask your church administrator — they can check your role and permissions.

A simple first task

Try searching for a member. Go to People → Members and use the search box to look for a demo name such as "Jane Demo". This helps you confirm you are logged into the correct church.
